Interests:
• Our laboratory is conducting studies to better understand the molecular genetics of breast cancer and the mechanisms of metastatic tumor cell homing to and growth in the bone. The goals of our research are to 1) identify key interactions between metastatic tumor cells and the bone environment with the aim of developing novel prophylactic and therapeutic modalities for bone metastasis and 2) identify genetic differences between normal and cancerous breast tissues that can by used for diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic applications. |
