WELCOME!
Welcome to the Johns Hopkins Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery in the Greater Washington Region website. Our practice, based in Bethesda, Maryland, seeks to provide patients with the best operative and non-operative care for their musculoskeletal and spinal conditions. Our surgeons include Dr. William Sadlack who specializes in joint replacement surgery and Dr. Jay Khanna who specializes in spine surgery.
In addition to providing our patients with the highest quality care possible, we pride ourselves on maximizing the non-operative treatment options for all of patients before considering or suggesting the surgical options.
Both Drs. Sadlack and Khanna work closely with physical therapists, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists and interventional pain management specialists to ensure that our patients have the best chance at recovering from a spinal or other musculoskeletal condition before surgery is considered.
They also frequently refer patients to interventional pain specialists, neurologists, physiatrists, rheumatologists and other specialists to gain their perspective and to provide patients with a multidisciplinary approach to a musculoskeletal condition.
For patients who have exhausted all other options and are found to be candidates for joint replacement or spine surgery, Drs. Sadlack and Khanna utilize their experience along with the latest technologies to provide our patients with the best surgical care possible. Minimally invasive and image-guided techniques are used, when possible, to avoid collateral tissue damage, improve recovery times and avoid complications while maintaining the effectiveness of the surgical techniques that have been developed over the years.
This website, which we continue to develop, contains information that will help you learn more about your knee, hip or spine condition. While we encourage you to use the web to learn more about your musculoskeletal condition, we urge you to use the links that we have provided to reliable information and suggest that you be careful about other sources of information on the web that we may not have had a chance to review.
Thank you, again, for visiting us here. To schedule an appointment to see one of our surgeons, please call us at (301)530-3220.
